Fundraising
The Emily Franz Committee hosts an annual recognition picnic each year held late afternoon/early evening on the first Sunday in August. This picnic is designed to recognize the years scholarship recipients. This also services as an annual fundraising event which includes a meal and a raffle drawing for anyone who purchases a meal ticket. Following the meal is a live auction of items donated by the recent scholarship recipients. This event is held at the Shullsburg Fire Station.
The 2024 annual picnic will be held August 4th with the meal served from 5:00-6:30 and the auction starting at 6:30. A $20 ticket gets you choice of a steak or chicken meal. Entertainment this year will be performed by the Fever River String Band. Tickets are available from any Emily Franz Committee member, any 2024 scholarship recipient, Turpin's Hometown Grocery, Clare Bank, and Shullsburg Community Bank.
The Committee does accept tax deductible donations throughout the year. Donations can be made to The Emily Franz Memorial Scholarship Fund Inc. and can be mailed to the following:
